Impact Created
Capacity building of the local community people was achieved through various project activities. Farmers and women Self Help Groups (SHGs) were trained in data collection and conservation initiatives. Biodiversity Audit was conducted for various industrial establishments & developmental projects. Industry was actively involved in biodiversity protection & enhancement. Butterfly Garden is designed & established in industrial premises. Pilot plots of high value threatened medicinal plants were raised in various Agro-forestry zones with the network of farmers. Documentation of over 150 Sacred Natural Sites was achieved. Policy inputs are given to the stakeholders such as State Forest Dept., State Biodiversity Board & District administration bodies, for systematic conservation planning and management of Eco-Sensitive Zone (ESZ).
